White Party!🤩

When I saw a picture of the back og this dress,  I just had to make one! The pattern looks very easy, but it will be change during the sewing. I have stitched the inserts, but need to make the lining before  stitching the marked line you see if you look very closely. I have stitched the inserts for the front part as well. The shoulders are stitched together and  I have made rouleau button loops at the back. I stitched the inserts for the lining as well.  Then the lining are stitched together with the top. I have cut several notches in the curves. The top is ready to be stitched together with the skirt. This is the front of the dress, and the invisible zipper are at the back.  The lining are stitched together with the skirt befor stitching the top and the skirt together. I'm very Happy how the dress turned out! I found the pattern in an old BurdaStyle magazine from 07/97. Me and my husband in the hotel elevator :)

Origami Tote Bag!

Origami is great for a handbag! This is a pattern I learnd to make by Shingo Sato. I had to draw the pattern first, and the lines are marked where the pleats are going to be.  The first pleat is made. The second pleat is made connected to the first pleat. As you can see, the pink pleats are folded down, and the green pleats are folded up. The pattern are finished, but I had to cut it apart since it was over-lapping. This is how the pattern looks like when it's pulled together. - and this is the wrong side of the pattern. The black part is cut, and I have to iron on top of the pattern before I take it away, then the pleats will stay in place. I decided to use linen, and then the folds will stay in place. This is the with front part. I have to stitch one, by one fold in place. The front is finished. This is the inner layer for the bag. The inner layer is connected to the outer layer, and stiched in place. I have used fusible fleece to make the bag a bit steady. The inner layers are s

Apron dress for a Sweetie 💖

  I wanted to surprice our granddaughter with a new dress. She was very happy when she got the present 😍   I found an easy dress pattern in Ottobre kids magazine. The dress is made of a cotton fabric that I bought from a FB sewing friend :) The dress has short raglan sleeves.  This is how it looks like without rubber band and buttons. I have stitched another bias band around the neck, and the sleeve hem has rubber band as a finish. The buttons are very nice with a red rose 🌹 Ottobre Kids 04/2010
