Knitted fabric Top with Stripes

Image
Even if it's not snow outside, I wanna make a Snowman... I wanted a top to wear together with my  Skirt  and stripes are always nice :)  This is a knitted cotton fabric and I have used the same wool jersey  for the cuffs and neckline as for the skirt. It's a very easy project, and it's based on a pattern from Burda 04/2009.   I've made  another Top  of the same pattern earlier.

A-Line Dress with a Twist :)

I got some new books for X-mas; Transformational Reconstruction by Shingo Sato. This is one of his techniques which I had to try :) The dress is based on the  A-Line pattern , but I omitted the pleats in front. Since I wanted long sleeves, I chose transparent net and gather them  and made cuffs of the same jersey as for the neck and waist. I only lined the top since the fabric is heavyweight jersey. To make it "pop" I decorated the top with different buttons I found in my stash :)

Pea Coat

I wanted to make a red coat  and I knew I had some great wool in my stash.. I couldn't wait until I got hold of the December issue,  so I bought the pdf pattern on BurdaStyle.  Anyway, I start the project before new year's eve, and finish it today, so now I'm very HAPPY :-)  I wanted to use big black buttons, but since I didn't have any, I had to make cover buttons with black lightweight jersey,  which I thought was perfect for the mission. I also used press buttons covered with red fabric,  and I choose to use red lining as well. Burdastyle pattern #102 12/2016 As you can see the pdf-pattern has a lot of papers to put together,  so I had to be patience..

Bell Sleeve Dress

Image
I needed a quick and easy project to try out my new serger, and I'm so Happy with my Brother! :-)         I have used jersey combined with Scuba which has a perfect finish at the edges, so it's not necessary to hem it, and the bell sleeves have a nice drape. I added the same length as the bell sleeves of scuba at the hem, and also added scuba at the shoulders as well. Burdastyle pattern #112 12/2016 It's the first time I have used rotary cutter for garments,  but it was perfect to make a straight line for the scuba fabric.  I'm sooo Happy with my overlock :)

Little Lady's Dress

These pictures tells everything, and that's why I Love making dresses for such a Sweetie ♥  I had a bit left of this printed cotton, and I think this fabric makes us both in a goooood mood! :o) For the Peter Pan collar I have used white pique and it's button up at the back.         Burdastyle pattern #144 02/2016

Dress for a Lovely Girl

Image
This is my Lovely niece and I think she looks fabulous in her dress :)  The fabric is very special, with a kind of velvet on the black print. I'm always curious to try out new patterns, and this was really nice. I found the pattern in Meine Nahmode 04/2011.
